Lavrov will go to G20 summit instead of Putin to India

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will attend the G20 summit in Delhi instead of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.

This was reported by the Russian Interfax agency, citing a statement from the office of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Censor.NET reports.

According to reports, Putin told Indian Prime Minister Modi in a telephone conversation that Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov would represent Russia at the meeting on September 9 and 10.

The message stated that Modi "expressed his understanding regarding this decision".
