Brussels - on Morawiecki’s words about weapons for Ukraine: EU support remains firm in all spheres
The European Commission reacted to the statement of the head of the Polish government on the supply of weapons to Ukraine, expressing firm support for Kyiv.
This was stated at a briefing by the foreign policy spokesman of the EC, Peter Stano, Censor.NET reports with reference to European Pravda.
Stano did not give a direct assessment of Mateusz Morawiecki's statement.
"We do not comment on Poland's announcement of what they intend to do regarding their voluntary bilateral contribution to the legitimate defense of Ukraine against aggression," Stano said.
"What is important for us is that the EU's policy towards Ukraine does not change. The EU's support for Ukraine remains firm in all spheres in which we support Ukraine: political, economic, humanitarian, international, diplomatic and military," Stano noted.
He also noted that the EU member states independently decide which weapons they supply to Ukraine.
