21 political prisoners in Crimea need immediate medical assistance, - Tasheva

45 Russian political prisoners in Crimea have chronic health problems, 21 of them require immediate medical assistance.
This was announced by the permanent representative of the President in Crimea, Tamila Tasheva, speaking to the participants of a special event in Brussels, which was about persecution in the temporarily occupied Crimea and political prisoners who are illegally kept in prisons by the occupiers, Censor.NET reports.
"I emphasized the problem of lack of access to medical care for political prisoners because 45 hostages have chronic health problems, 21 of them need urgent medical care," Tasheva said.
She also expressed her condolences to the families of Dzhemil Gafarov and Konstantin Sheering, who died due to the terrible conditions of imprisonment in Russian prisons and the lack of medical care.
Tasheva emphasized that every week, especially after the start of Russia's full-scale aggression in Ukraine, the number of political prisoners in Crimea increases. According to her, today the occupation regime is illegally detaining at least 186 citizens of Ukraine, approximately 123 of them are Crimean Tatars.
"Today we see a growing number of arrests on the territory of the occupied Crimea due to the active resistance of Ukrainian citizens to the Russian occupiers," Tasheva noted. At the same time, she mentioned partisan movements such as "Yellow Ribbon", "ATESH", "Zla Mavka" and "Crimean Fighting Seagulls", which resist the invaders, as well as individual cases of resistance demonstrated by our citizens, for example, by singing patriotic songs Ukrainian songs or depicting Ukrainian symbols in public places of occupied Crimea.
"I believe that Crimea will definitely be deoccupied, and all political prisoners will be released from Russian captivity, and events such as the Parliamentary Summit will help speed up this process and contribute to a more successful reintegration of the peninsula," concluded Tasheva.
