Investigation is considering four versions of death of Zaluzhnyi’s assistant Chastiakov, main one is accident -SBI
Currently, the investigation is considering 4 versions of the death of Major Hennadii Chatiakov, assistant to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi.
Tetiana Sapian, the Strategic Communications Adviser of the SBI, said this on the air of the national telethon, Censor.NET informs with reference to Ukrainska Pravda.
"In the criminal proceedings, 4 possible versions of these events have been put forward. The main version is an accident that occurred as a result of careless handling of an explosive device. The second version, which is being considered by the investigation, is premeditated murder, a completed attempted murder of Chastiakov's family members, disguised as involuntary manslaughter or an accident ordered by the Russian special services in order to destabilize the military-political situation in Ukraine," she said.
According to Sapian, another version is the premeditated murder of Chastiakov, committed on the basis of hostile relations (there could be revenge or jealousy on the part of colleagues).
"The fourth version is the attempted premeditated murder of a military official of the senior officers of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine other than Chastiakov," she added.
Answering a clarifying question, Sapian reiterated that the main version is the tragic case.
A number of examinations have been appointed in the case.
The adviser stressed that this criminal proceeding, like a number of others, is under the special control of the SBI leadership.
Earlier it was reported that Chatyakov died as a result of the detonation of an unknown explosive device. This information was confirmed by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi.
According to the information of the National Police of Ukraine, the tragedy happened in a residential complex in the Chaiky village in the Kyiv region. After receiving a report of the explosion, the police urgently arrived at the scene.
According to preliminary information, a 39-year-old serviceman was killed as a result of a grenade explosion. His 13-year-old son was seriously injured. The guy is under the supervision of doctors.
