Time plays in favor of Russian Federation, sequence of events does not indicate that Ukraine can gain military advantage, - President of Czech Republic Pavel
Currently, Russia is trying to prolong the war against Ukraine and is waiting for the results of the presidential elections in the USA next year.
This was stated by the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, Censor.NET reports with reference to the European Parliament.
He noted that time is working in favor of the Russian Federation.
"Negotiations can begin next year, as the development of events does not indicate that the Ukrainian side will gain a military advantage. Time is now playing in favor of Russia, which has a stronger mobilization base for manpower. Having gained time, she will also be able to replenish the material base, which she lacked for a long time. We see massive deliveries from North Korea, we see attempts to circumvent sanctions," Pavel said.
According to him, it is obvious that Russia is trying to prolong the conflict. He believes that she may also be waiting for the results of the US presidential election next year.
At the same time, Pavel is convinced that the West should continue to support Ukraine.
"The situation is not unequivocally positive. It should be positive for Ukraine that we are on their side and should support them in achieving their goals. For our end, we have no choice but to continue providing support," he concluded.
