Polish carriers threaten to block another checkpoint on border with Ukraine from November 20, - AFP

Representatives of Polish carriers declare their intention to start blocking one more crossing point of Medica-Szegyny from Monday, November 20. They call such a decision "unfair competition from a country at war."
As reported by Censor.NET, this was reported by the AFP agency.
"Representatives of Polish carriers said Thursday they will expand their border protest against Ukraine by blocking another truck crossing over what they say is unfair competition from the war-torn country," it said.
According to one of the protest organizers, Tomasz Borkowski, the carriers are waiting for a new stage of negotiations between the governments of Poland and Ukraine. They are "not satisfied with the speed" of the negotiations. Borkovsky reported that they will extend the blockade to the "Medica" checkpoint starting Monday.
As noted in AFP, on Thursday, November 16, negotiations took place at the Dorogusk border crossing, in which the ministries of infrastructure of Ukraine and Poland took part together with the transport department of the European Commission.
Subsequently, the Ministry of Transport of Ukraine stated that the key demand of the protesters - a return to the permit system - cannot be fulfilled, since the agreement on the liberalization of freight transportation between Ukraine and the EU will remain in effect until at least June 30, 2023. In addition, it was noted that the Polish protesters "did not accept the proposals" and that "the parties continue to search for a solution."
