By defending Ukraine, you are also defending Moldova, - Sandu
At a press conference in Kyiv, Moldovan President Maia Sandu thanked Ukraine for its fight against the Russian invasion.

"Today I thank you on behalf of the citizens of Moldova for the extraordinary sacrifices that Ukrainian soldiers are making at the front, fighting the Russian invasion, for the country to remain free and independent. Without this resistance, without this struggle, we know that our country would be next on the list of Russia's occupation targets. And I think it's not the last on this list. By defending Ukraine, you are also protecting Moldova," Sandu said.
"Our railways, our Solidarity Lanes will help Ukrainian goods reach export markets. We are helping Ukrainian demining groups and have joined the relevant international coalition. Moldova provides humanitarian aid to Ukraine, helps to ensure uninterrupted power supply to homes," the Moldovan president said.
According to Sandu, "the decision to negotiate EU membership with Moldova and Ukraine is a message that will be heard not only in Kyiv and Chisinau, but also in Moscow. It will be a message that the joint association "Democratic Europe" is ready to fight for peace."
