The oligarch complains about the delay in the investigation.

Ukrainian oligarch Ihor Kolomoiskyi wrote a letter to Prosecutor General Andrii Kostin asking him to personally intervene in the situation. He complained about the prejudgement of his office representatives and the delay in the investigation.

"I am forced to appeal to you with an open letter due to the circumstances and atmosphere of flagrant violation of the law, constitutional and procedural rights, which has formed around the investigation of criminal proceedings against me by the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine. I see no point in citing the circumstances set out by the investigators in the notices of suspicion, because you, as the head of the country's main supervisory institution, know them in detail. But the only thing I have been trying to understand from my prison cell for almost three months is why you, a person who has all the evidence of the absence of a crime, are silently observing an innocent person losing his health behind bars,—" the businessman writes.

According to Kolomoiskyi, he does not seek sympathy, but expects justice, respect for human rights, "the same that Ukraine declares on its way to the European Union, where human rights are not a simple phrase, where the European Court of Human Rights operates, which has recently increasingly stated violations of the European Convention on Human Rights by Ukrainian courts."

Kolomoiskyi also writes that for banking professionals, who have all financial documents at their disposal, the "facts" of the investigation should look absurd at best, and "the implementation of a campaign of political lynching against me" at worst.

"Most of all, I am surprised by the position of the NBU (National Bank of Ukraine) and PrivatBank, which has been under full state control for almost seven years. The circumstances set out in the notice of suspicion, if they were based on anything other than the fantasies of detectives, are actually the verdict of the management of the National Bank and the PrivatBank, which for several years did not notice the lack of almost UAH 6 billion in cash, as well as the complete denigration of the reputation of two audit companies from the "Big Four" — PricewaterhouseCoopers and Ernst & Young — which during 2014-2022. confirmed the financial statements of PrivatBank, which in October 2023, under pressure from the ESBU (Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine) learned from the media about the "shortage" of UAH 5.7 billion. By the way, these reports for these years are posted on the official websites of PrivatBank and the NBU, that is, they are freely available," — he added.

Kolomoiskyi notes that although more than 50 detectives and prosecutors are working on the case, they did not question a single witness he indicated during the month.

"And specifically, as personally for the head of the supervisory authority, I want to inform you - despite my complaints, rulings of investigating judges, which oblige me to organize the provision of medical care - I do not receive any treatment for diseases. My health condition is deteriorating, and it is impossible to resolve this issue in the pre-trial detention center. But what I can't understand is whether, on the basis of these ridiculous suspicions, I am already so dangerous that I am denied the right to receive proper medical care?" — he wrote.

Recall that on September 2, oligarch Ihor Kolomoiskyi was arrested with the possibility of putting up a pledge in the amount of UAH 509 million. Kolomoiskyi received the second suspicion on September 7 in the case of embezzlement of UAH 9.2 billion from PrivatBank.

And on November 10, the court left him in custody. The lawyers asked to change the measure of restraint to house arrest due to the deterioration of his health, but the judge rejected the motion.
