Most Russian oligarchs increased their wealth during year - Bloomberg

Most Russian oligarchs have managed to increase their wealth since the beginning of 2023.

This is reported by Bloomberg, Censor.NET reports with reference to Ukrinform.

The overall ranking of 500 billionaires includes 25 Russians.

Vladimir Potanin (47th place), Leonid Michelson (52nd place), Vagit Alekperov (62nd place), Vladimir Lisin (72nd place), Alisher Usmanov (82nd place), and Alexei Mordashov (88th place) are among the top 100.

It is noted that Potanin was able to increase his wealth by $2.11 billion and now it is $30.7 billion. Since 1 January, Michelson has increased his wealth by $2.71 billion, bringing his total assets to $27.3 billion. Alekperov has gained $9.14 billion since the beginning of the year. His total wealth is $24.5 billion. Lisin increased his wealth by $3.07 billion over the year. His total wealth is $22.9 billion. Since the beginning of the year, Usmanov has gained $1.87 billion. His total wealth is $20.3 billion. Mordashov managed to increase his wealth by $618 million. His total wealth is $19.3 billion.

Below the top 100, the Russian rich also did well. For example:

Andrei Melnichenko (105th place) with a fortune of $17.2 billion increased it by $4.03 billion;

Mikhail Prokhorov (125th place) with a fortune of $15.0 billion increased it by $1.81 billion;

Gennadiy Timchenko (133rd place) with a fortune of $14.5 billion increased his fortune by $2.69 billion;

Mikhail Fridman (158th) with a fortune of $12.0 billion increased it by $652 million;

Dmitry Rybolovlev (179th) with a fortune of $11.1 billion increased it by $1.09 billion;

Leonid Fedun (222nd place) with a fortune of $9.76 billion increased it by $3.89 billion;

Andriy Guryev (230th place) with a fortune of $9.63 billion increased it by $536 million;

Viktor Rashnikov (235th place) with a fortune of $9.42 billion increased it by $885 million;

Roman Abramovich (293rd place) with a fortune of $7.95 billion increased it by $132 million;

German Khan (296th place) with a fortune of $7.88 billion increased it by $309 million;

Andrei Skoch (373rd place) with a fortune of $6.60 billion increased it by $1.04 billion;

Alexei Kuzmichev (444th place) with a fortune of $5.77 billion increased it by $351 million;

Peter Aven (445th place) with a fortune of $5.76 billion increased it by $461 million;

Sergey Galitsky (481st place) with a fortune of $5.44 billion increased it by $706 million;

Sergey Popov (499th) with a fortune of $5.28 billion increased it by $699 million.

Only three of the richest Russian oligarchs decreased their wealth in 2023. In particular, they are:

Suleiman Kerimov (276th place) with a fortune of $8.34 billion decreased it by $650 million;

Viktor Vekselberg (351st place) with a fortune of $6.96 billion decreased it by $44.1 million;

Vyacheslav Kantor (413th place) with a fortune of $6.09 billion decreased it by $277 million.

Overall, since the beginning of this year, the wealth of Russia's richest businessmen has increased by $38.575 billion.

By the way, the only Ukrainian businessman in the ranking, Rinat Akhmetov, took 490th place with a fortune of $5.32 billion. In 2023, Akhmetov's wealth decreased by $15.2 million.
