Ukraine’s Armed Forces confirm that a group of Russian soldiers who shot 2 Ukrainian soldiers surrendering in the Avdiivka sector have been eliminated.
This was announced by the speaker of the Joint Press Center of the Tauride Defense Forces Oleksandr Shtupun on the air of TV-maraphone, Censor.NET informs with reference to RBC-Ukraine.
"Yes, this fact is fixed by the relevant services. A criminal case has been opened, an appropriate investigation is underway and then these materials will be transferred to international institutions involved in war crimes. And I can also confirm that in the course of further hostilities, the group of Russian invaders who had committed this crime ceased to exist, "Shtupun said.
To the clarifying question, what is known about these invaders, he said it was not yet known which military unit of the Russian army committed this crime.
"We don't know what this unit is. Because the fighting is still continuing," the speaker added.
As it was reported, a video appeared on the network, which recorded how the invaders shot two captured Ukrainian fighters. The Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmitry Lubinets said that this is a war crime for which the Russian Federation should be punished. The Office of the Prosecutor General began an investigation into the shooting of unarmed servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by the invaders in the Donetsk region .
