Putin to be invited to G20 summit in Brazil, but will have to deal with ICC warrant, says President Lula da Silva

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin will be invited to the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro, but Brazil may arrest him under a warrant from the International Criminal Court.
According to Censor.NET, citing RBC-Ukraine, Terra reports.
President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva reminded that Brazil is a signatory to the Rome Statute and is obliged to execute the arrest warrant for the Russian president accused of deporting Ukrainian children to Russia.
He clarified that Putin will be invited to the G20 summit to be held next year in Rio de Janeiro, but he will have to "assess the consequences" of such a visit.
"If Putin comes to the G-20 meeting in Brazil, he knows what can happen," Lula said.
As a reminder, on 17 March, the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and Russian Presidential Children's Ombudsman Maria Lvova-Belova.
In September, Lula da Silva said that if Russian dictator Vladimir Putin comes to Brazil in 2024 for the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro, the decision to arrest him will be made by the Brazilian judiciary, not the government.
