Ukrainian boxer Andriy Yarchevsky was killed in the war

Ukrainian boxer Andriy Yarchevsky from Brovary died in the war against Russia.

"In the spring of 2022, Andriy returned to the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and defended the borders of Ukraine on the southern front as part of the 'Azov' battalion. In August 2023, he joined the "Guard of Advance" and served as a gunner of mortar calculation. Andriy Yarchevsky had the call sign 'Knockout' on the front lines.

Andriy Yarchevsky's life was cut off on November 4 near the settlement of Dibrova in Luhansk region. The 24-year-old boxer covered his comrades during a shelling from 'Grad' multiple rocket launcher.

Andriy Yarchevsky has been involved in boxing since childhood. He was well-known at the amateur level but he could not make a professional career.
