Italian Foreign Minister Tajan is positive about Ukraine’s integration into EU
Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajan believes that it is impossible to say exactly when Ukraine will become a member of the European Union.
Censor.NET reports that Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.
"At this stage, it is impossible to say exactly when Ukraine will become an EU member state. It will depend on the speed with which Ukraine completes its alignment with European legislation and standards," he said.
The minister noted that the Ukrainian government has demonstrated its determination to take concrete steps forward at a very fast pace.
"But we are optimistic because the Ukrainian government has demonstrated a strong commitment and determination to take concrete steps forward at a very fast pace," the Italian Foreign Minister said.
Tajani emphasized that Italy has always been at the forefront of supporting Ukraine's European integration and welcomes the European Commission's recommendation to start accession talks with Ukraine.
