HACC allowed to investigate case against Hladkovskyi’s son in absentia

The HACCU granted permission to conduct a special investigation into the former director of one of the enterprises of the Ukroboronprom concern and the son of former First Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleh Hladkovskyi, Ihor.
According to Censor.NET, the press service of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office reported this on Facebook.
"On December 14, 2023, the HACC investigating judge granted the NABU detective's motion, agreed with the SAPO prosecutor, to grant permission to conduct a special pre-trial investigation (in absentia) against the former Director General of the SC "Ukrspecexport" and a person whose close relative held a position in the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, whose criminal actions caused almost UAH 13 million in losses to Ukrspecexport (part of the Ukroboronprom state concern)," the statement said.
As noted, this decision will make it possible to complete the pre-trial investigation against the suspects, who are on the international wanted list, and to send the case to the HACC for consideration on the merits.
As a reminder, the actions of the former Director General of Ukrspecexport are classified under Part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - abuse of official capacity that caused grave consequences. The actions of the other person are qualified under Part 3 of Article 27, Part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - the organization of the above-mentioned abuse.
As previously reported, the former head of Ukrspetsexport and the son of the former Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council are suspected of causing UAH 13 million in damage to the state. Censor.NET also wrote that the son of former First Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Oleh Hladkovskyi, Ihor, went abroad in 2022, allegedly due to official necessity.
