Air Defense destroyed 34 "shaheds", - Air Force
On the night of December 21, 2023, Russian invaders attacked with shock UAVs of the "Shahed" type from three directions: Chauda - the occupied Crimea, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Kursk - the Russian Federation. Air defense worked in 12 regions.
This was reported by Air Force of AFU, Censor.NET informs.
"In total, 35 Shahed-136/131 launches were recorded, which attacked in waves at different times, from 08.00 p.m. on December 20 to 03.30 a.m. on December 21. That night, in different directions, the defenders of the sky managed to shoot down 34 of the 35 enemy strike UAVs fired, "the report said.
Air defense worked in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Khmelnytskyi, Sumy, Poltava, Chernihiv, and Kirovohrad regions. Tactical aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Air Force and Defense Forces were involved in repelling the air attack.
