Police deny information about summonses at checkpoints in Kyiv region

The police in Kyiv region deny media reports that its officers were ordered to hand out summonses at checkpoints.
This is stated in a message on the Facebook page of the Kyiv region police, Censor.NET reports.
"At checkpoints in Kyiv region, police officers do not conduct targeted checks of citizens for further mobilisation, but perform exclusively police functions provided for by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of 29 December 2021 No. 1455. Namely, they provide security measures through enhanced control over the movement of citizens, vehicles, goods, etc.", said Anatolii Shchadylo, Chief of the Kyiv Region Police.
He added that the police carry out mobilisation-related activities only at the request of the TCC.
Earlier, the Kyiv Regional TCC and JV reported at the request of journalists that the Main Department of the National Police in Kyiv region was tasked with "developing and implementing additional measures at checkpoints located on international roads within Kyiv region in order to identify persons who have committed violations of the legislation on defence, mobilisation preparation and mobilisation or violated the rules of military registration".
