The United States is disappointed that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban is calling into question support for Ukraine in Europe.

This was stated by US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Jim O'Brien, Censor.NET reports with reference to RBC-Ukraine.

"I think we're disappointed that Prime Minister Orban has decided to stand alone in the European Union, calling into question the fight to support Ukrainians," the State Department official emphasized.

He also added that the United States will be watching to see if Hungary fulfills its promise not to be the last country to ratify Sweden's NATO membership.

According to O'Brien, he expects Sweden to join the Alliance in the near future.
