Ukrinkom’s Supervisory Board claims information attack on itself

укрінком

Ukrinkom’s Supervisory Board releases a statement on the information attack on the company.

The statement refers to a number of articles published by various individuals, including the Deputy Director of the Deposit Guarantee Fund, Viktor Novikov, which appeared shortly before the court hearing with the participation of Ukrinkom.

The Board accuses these publications of being part of a planned information campaign funded by unscrupulous debtors of Ukrinkom to manipulate public opinion and exert pressure on the court. The statement also criticized the content of these articles as manipulative and funded by those who do not want to repay their debts and poses a threat to the banking sector of Ukraine.

The Management Board defends its position on the legality of its actions, protecting its reputation and the integrity of its operations from what it considers to be baseless and corrupt allegations.

The statement reads

"The published text from Viktor Novikov deserves special attention. This honorable gentleman has a suspicion from NABU in his record. The reason for the suspicion is the embezzlement of a UAH 1.2 billion stabilization loan from the NBU, issued to Oleh Bakhmatiuk's VAB Bank on the eve of its bankruptcy.

In his text, NABU suspect Viktor Novikov used manipulations. We have known the theses voiced by the suspect for a long time. The Deposit Guarantee Fund uses them constantly in its speeches at Court hearings and in public communications. We will not argue our case once again.

It is the Court that must determine the truth based on the laws of Ukraine. In our opinion, the Foundation's arguments are weak. The paid-for articles against us are financed by our debtors who do not want to repay the loans they have received and pose a threat to the banking sector of Ukraine."
