Ukrainian Blackjack hackers infiltrate database of Russian Ministry of Defense: obtain 1.2 TB of valuable technical documentation - DIU
The Blackjack hacker group carried out a cyberattack on a Russian state-owned enterprise and obtained 1.2 terabytes of valuable data.
This was reported by Censor.NET with the reference to the press service of DIU of the Ministry of Defense.
"The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine informs about a successful cyberattack on a Russian state-owned enterprise that performs all construction contracts for the aggressor state's Ministry of War," the statement said.
It is noted that this is the federal state unitary enterprise "Main Military Construction Directorate for Special Objects".
It is reported that the successful operation was carried out by specialists of the Ukrainian organization Blackjack. They penetrated the database of a Russian state-owned company and obtained 1.2 terabytes of valuable data. The obtained array includes technical documentation for more than 500 facilities of the Russian Defense Ministry.
"Critical information about Russian military facilities that have already been completed, are under construction/reconstruction or are planned for construction was transferred to the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine," the DIU of the Ministry of Defense said.
As part of the cyber operation, all this data was deleted from the servers of the Russian enterprise, which will paralyze the construction of new facilities of the aggressor state for a while, the Ukrainian intelligence press service adds.
