Some of first aid kits in warehouses of Medical Forces Command need to be refilled due to poor quality components – Ministry of Defense

Deputy Minister of Defense Natalia Kalmykova, together with representatives of the Medical Forces Command and the Leleka Foundation team, inspected the medical equipment and assessed the condition and availability of first aid kits and backpacks for combat medics.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
Currently, about ten types of first aid kits are stored in warehouses, most of which are donated as charity. They are equipped differently, and their components differ in quality.
"Among the first aid kits, there are those that meet the needs of the military. However, there are also first aid kits equipped, for example, with low-quality tourniquets that cannot be used. Now we are faced with the task of refilling the existing first aid kits so that they can be used in the military. There are enough quality components for this," emphasized Kalmykova.
The Deputy Minister noted that this is a temporary solution: "We have to use the available resources to cover the needs as soon as possible. However, in the future, we are focused on purchasing high-quality medical equipment in accordance with NATO standards. This will happen in the near future."
