Taiwan, Israel, Ukraine, and the United States are in need of 155mm shells, but the United States currently produces only 28,000 shells per month. Production volumes in Europe are lower than in the United States.

The Wall Street Journal published a report "Both Israel and Ukraine Need 155mm Artillery Shells. Can the U.S. Meet the Demand?" about 155mm shells and their production in the United States, with the latest figures on this issue, Censor.NET reports.

According to the publication:

Since the beginning of the full-scale war until December 2023, the United States has supplied Ukraine with more than 2 million 155 mm shells.

At the beginning of the full-scale war, the price of a shell in the US was $1,200, and now it is $8,400.

From October to December inclusive, America supplied Israel with 57,000 155-mm shells

At the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the US produced 14,000 shells a month, and they wanted to increase this to 80,000 by 2025. Now, according to journalists, the output is 28,000 per month. And the Americans themselves, Taiwan, Ukraine, and Israel need them. The production volumes in Europe are not mentioned, but it is indicated that they are much lower than the American ones.
