During 2 years of full-scale invasion due to Russian aggression in Kyiv, 94 people died, more than 200 were injured - Prosecutor General’s Office
During the two years of the Russian Federation’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, 94 civilians were killed and 220 were injured in the capital as a result of Russian armed aggression.
Among the dead were 3 children, another 19 children were injured. These are data according to the materials of pre-trial investigations, in which the procedural management is carried out by the capital prosecutor's office, Censor.NET informs with reference to the press center of the Prosecutor General's Office.
Also, as a result of air attacks on the capital, the following were destroyed and damaged:
- 128 residential buildings and households;
- 69 educational and educational institutions;
- 7 medical institutions;
- 3 cultural buildings;
- 1 religious building.
In 2023, prosecutors submitted 163 indictments to the court for crimes related to military aggression against Ukraine, including:
- according to the facts of collaborative activity (42);
- justification, recognition as legitimate and denial of armed aggression of the Russian Federation, glorification of its participants (37);
treason (9); - illegal use for profit of humanitarian aid, charitable donations or free aid (8);
unauthorized distribution of information about the sending, movement of weapons, armaments and military supplies to Ukraine, the movement, movement or placement of the Armed Forces or other military formations formed in accordance with the laws of Ukraine, committed under conditions of war or a state of emergency (8); - encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine; financing of terrorism(4);
- committing actions aimed at the violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or at the seizure of state power (4);
- violation of the laws and customs of war; assistance to the aggressor state; (1) financing of actions committed for the purpose of violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or seizure of state power, change of territory or state border of Ukraine (1).
With the participation of prosecutors of the capital prosecutor's office, the courts passed 44 verdicts. In particular:
- on justification, recognition as legitimate, denial of armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorification of its participants (14);
- illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine, evasion of conscription for military service during mobilization, for a special period, for military service upon conscription of reservists during a special period (9);
treason (7); - collaborative activity (6);
- unauthorized dissemination of information about the sending, movement of weapons, armaments, and war supplies to Ukraine, the movement, movement, or deployment of the Armed Forces or other military formations formed by the laws of Ukraine, committed under conditions of war or a state of emergency (5);
- committing actions aimed at the violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or at the seizure of state power (3).
