Ruscists make "powerful breakthrough" at Chasiv Yar, which is key to offensive on Kostiantynivka - Yevlash

The Russian army is amassing reserves and making a "powerful push" towards Chasiv Yar in Donetsk region. The occupiers see this settlement as a key one for continuing their offensive on Kostiantynivka and the Kramatorsk-Sloviansk agglomeration.
Illia Yevlash, head of the press service of OSGT "Khortytsia", said this on Radio Liberty, Censor.NET reports.
"They are amassing very powerful forces, and as of now, this can be considered one of their most powerful breakthroughs to Chasiv Yar... Access to Chasiv Yar will open the way for the enemy to continue their offensive, a springboard for an offensive on Kostiantynivka. And of course, the main target in the Donetsk region is the Kramatorsk-Sloviansk agglomeration. That is why the enemy spares no effort in seizing the moment - it has been using the tactic of "running where the flow is" for quite some time, looking for weaknesses. And at the slightest opportunity to break through the defences somewhere, it strengthens its groups and resorts to assault actions," he said.
According to Yevlash, the overall situation around Chasiv Yar is "very tense". The enemy is moving its main forces there.
The occupiers are carrying out the main attacks with mortars, and are also increasing the use of aircraft.
However, around Chasiv Yar, Ukrainian soldiers erected several circles of defence and set up minefields, both anti-tank and anti-personnel.
The Defence Forces also built embankments and anti-tank ramparts to prevent the advance of Russian heavy equipment.
