Power tariffs to increase effective Sept. 1
This is provided by the decree of the National Commission for State Energy Regulation dated Feb. 26, 2014, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.
According to the decree, electricity rate will increase effective Sept. 1 up to 62.8 kopeks per kilowatt-hour, which is by 23% higher than current rate.
The new rate will be effective from Sept. 1, 2015 till March 1, 2016, after which the rate will again be increased to 77.3 kopeks per kilowatt-hour, or by 23% compared to September tariff.
As reported, the first stage of tariffs increase took place in April 2015 - the rate then rose by 45.2% up to 51.2 kopeks per kilowatt-hour. In total, the rate will be increased in five steps, the last being planned for March 1, 2017, when the tariff will reach 122.77 kopeks per kilowatt-hour.
