Ukraine will have no chance of deterring the Russian offensive unless it mobilises at least 250,000 people.

According to Censor.NET, this was stated by the commander of the separate mechanized battalion "Wolves of Da Vinci" Serhii Filimonov in an interview with LIGA.net.

"Without the mobilization of at least 250,000 people, we have very little chance of holding back the Russians at the borders where we are now. Restoration of the borders is out of the question this year. The return of Crimea, Mariupol, or Donetsk is also out of the question," he said.

Filimonov was asked: "Will Ukraine only be able to defend itself this year?"

He replied that it depends on many factors, such as changes in the army, recruitment, mobilization, assistance from Western allies, permission to use Western weapons on Russian territory, and events inside the aggressor country.

"If Putin dies, or if another Wagner appears and makes it to Moscow if the liberation struggle of the peoples occupied by the Russian Empire begins, everything could be turned upside down," said the "Wolves of Da Vinci" commander.
