General Staff: Ukrainian defense forces repelled 18 Russian attacks in Novopavlivka direction. There were 62 combat engagements in frontline over last day

"The seven hundred and sixty-ninth day of the large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine continues. During the day, 62 combat engagements were recorded. In total, the enemy launched 2 missile and 43 air strikes, fired 39 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of our troops and populated areas," the evening report said.
The situation in the North
The operational situation in the Volyn and Polissia sectors remains unchanged. There are no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups.
On the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shells populated areas from the territory of the Russian Federation, and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. The enemy conducted air strikes near the settlements of Volfyne and Oleksandrivka in the Sumy region and Lyptsi in the Kharkiv region. About 20 settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Buda-Vorobivska and Kliusy in the Chernihiv region; Chernatske, Stara Huta, Oleksiivka and Dmytrivka in the Sumy region; Veterynarne, Hatyshche, Pletenivka, Lyptsi in the Kharkiv region.
Hostilities in the East
In the Kupiansk direction, our defenders repelled one attack near the village of Synkivka in the Kharkiv region, where the enemy, supported by aviation, tried to break through the defense of our troops. More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Synkivka, Ivanivka, and Stepova Novoselivka in the Kharkiv region.
In the Lyman direction, our troops repelled eight enemy attacks near Terny in the Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to break through the defense of our troops. Artillery and mortar attacks damaged more than 10 settlements, including Bilohorivka, Nevske and Serebrianskyi forestry in the Luhansk region; Yampolivka and Torske in the Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions. The enemy conducted an air strike near Kurdiumivka in the Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Kalynivka, Andriivka, Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, our defenders repelled 10 attacks near the towns of Berdychi, Umanske, Pervomaiske and Nevelske in the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to knock our units out of their positions. The enemy also launched air strikes near the settlements of Novobakhmutivka, Semenivka and Karlivka in the Donetsk region. About 20 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Berdychi, Umanske, Netailove, Nevelske in the Donetsk region.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Novomykhailivka and Urozhaine in the Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to break through the defense of our troops 18 times. The enemy launched air strikes near Krasnohorivka, Oleksandropil, Vodiane and Vuhledar in the Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Novomykhailivka, Kostiantynivka, and Urozhaine in the Donetsk region.
The situation in the South
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy made 2 attacks on the positions of our defenders in the areas of Robotyne and northwest of Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia region. About 20 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Chervone, Huliaipilske, Novodanylivka and Mali Shcherbaki in the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Kherson direction, the enemy made one attack on the positions of our troops near Krynky in the Kherson region. More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Tokarivka, Veletenske and Mykhailivka in the Kherson region.
Strikes on the enemy
During the day, the aviation of the Defense Forces struck 1 anti-aircraft missile system and 13 areas of concentration of enemy personnel.
Missile troops struck 6 areas of concentration of enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment, 8 artillery systems, 1 anti-tank vehicle and 1 multiple launch rocket system.
