NATO should focus on long-term support for Ukraine - Stoltenberg
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg believes that the Alliance should provide security assistance to Ukraine for a long period.
He said this before the beginning of the meeting of the North Atlantic Council at the level of foreign ministers, Censor.NET reports with reference to Ukrinform.
"Ukraine has urgent needs. Any delays in the delivery of aid have consequences on the battlefield right now. So we need to clarify the dynamics of our support.
We must ensure reliable and predictable security assistance for Ukraine for a long period. So we have to rely less on voluntary contributions and more on NATO commitments. Focus less on short-term proposals and more on long-term commitments," Stoltenberg explained.
