Zelenskyy on mobilisation in Ukraine: We do not need half million
There is currently no need to mobilise 500,000 people in Ukraine.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this at a briefing with President of Finland Alexander Stubb, Censor.NET reports citing the Liga.
He noted that during this period, the Ukrainian army "does not need half a million people".
"I can't say about the specific number of people who will be mobilised. We do not need half a million," Zelenskyy said.
The Head of State thanked Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi for the audit in the army.
"It is important that he found the strength within the Armed Forces and the appropriate number of those who were not at the front will be at the front," the president concluded.
As reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russia was preparing to mobilise an additional 300,000 people by 1 June.
