"Ukraine also wants to follow the path of peace, reconstruction, and development. I am convinced that these are the strategic priorities that we share with you. Russian aggression destroyed peace and slowed down development, and every new day of war means new violations of humanity and further erosion of justice. Therefore, it is necessary to end the war against our state, restore peace, and speed up the recovery of Ukraine," Kuleba said.
According to the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the aggression of the Russian Federation affected international stability, which in turn hindered the development of trade between China and Europe.
The minister noted that bilateral relations between China and Ukraine should be considered now through the prism of Ukraine's future membership in the EU and China's relations with the European Union.
"I want to confirm that we have been in contact with you since 2020. ... Today, we will hold thorough and substantive negotiations on bilateral relations, the international agenda and, most importantly, on the path to peace. I am convinced that a just peace in Ukraine corresponds to the strategic interests of China, and China's role as a global force for peace is important," Kuleba added.
