On Wednesday afternoon, July 24, a fire broke out in a warehouse in the Kotelva community of Poltava region, accompanied by explosions. Due to the scale of the fire, people were evacuated from the surrounding households.
This was reported by the head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration Philip Pronina, Censor.NET reports.
The official spoke about the emergency that occurred in the Kotelva community. According to Pronin, a fire broke out in a warehouse, which was accompanied by explosions.
"Given the security issues, no details. Law enforcement officers are currently conducting the necessary investigative actions to establish the causes of the situation," the official said.
Due to the scale of the fire, people had to be evacuated from neighboring households. There were no injuries among the population.
Rescuers eliminated the consequences of the fire. There is reportedly damage to civilian infrastructure.
Pronin added that people whose homes were damaged would be provided with assistance.
