In Odesa, the SSU and the National Police neutralised a group of young men who had committed a series of arson attacks on Defence Forces vehicles on the orders of the FSS.
According to Censor.NET, this was reported by the SSU press service.
According to the investigation, a representative of the aggressor country offered the suspects to earn extra money on one of the TG channels, to which they agreed. At the request of the Russian curator, they were to set fire to military vehicles in Odesa.
The defendants drove around the city at night, where they tried to identify the parking places of the AFU vehicles. After agreeing on the coordinates and targets for arson with a Russian agent, they received an "order" to destroy them.
They filmed the vehicle fire and sent it to the "customer", after which they received money. The enemy used the footage to create a false information pretext for Russian propaganda media resources about the activities of the anti-Ukrainian underground in Odesa.
The Russian special services promised a large reward for setting fire to one car, but in fact paid between 5 and 8 thousand hryvnias.
It has now been established that between June and July this year, the perpetrators set fire to fifteen vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The suspects are six residents of Odesa, the oldest of the group is 23 years old, the youngest member is 18. During the searches, mobile phones, bottles of incendiary mixture and bank cards with Russian money on them were seized.
The court granted the prosecution's motion and the suspects were remanded in custody without the possibility of bail. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of 5 to 8 years.
The investigation is ongoing, the issues of additional qualification of their criminal actions and identification of possible accomplices are being resolved.
