Reliable peace is possible only on basis of international law and without any trade in sovereignty or territories - Zelenskyy. VIDEO
Ukraine needs a genuine and just peace. This is possible only on the basis of international law and without any trade in sovereignty or trade in territory.
This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his traditional evening video address, Censor.NET reports .
The President said that the teams of Ukraine and the United States, as well as other partners, are currently working to prepare the Ramstein meeting - "meaningful decisions and, in general, meetings and negotiations next week".
"And this week can be positive for our defence, for our vision of how the war should end. We will do everything for this, one hundred per cent. We will do it effectively," Zelensky said.
In addition, the Head of State said that political consultations between the teams of Ukraine and its partners would take place in the coming days. Government officials and diplomats will talk. The military will also talk about filling the military points of the Victory Plan.
"This is something that can strengthen Ukraine quite quickly, and Ukrainian positions are our frontline in the first place. And everything in the Plan is absolutely realistic for our partners. The world has this resource of strengthening, which will allow us to move forward with the Peace Formula," Zelenskyy said.
The President stressed that Ukraine needs a true and just peace - guaranteed protection from war. This is possible only on the basis of international law and without any trade in sovereignty or trade in territories.
"This is our goal, our task - to guarantee Ukraine a lasting peace and long-term security. This is possible only on the basis of international law and without any trade in sovereignty or trade in territories. Exactly as envisaged by the Peace Formula. Ukraine needs peace - real, just peace - and guaranteed protection from war. This is possible only in a strong position. And only when both our people and our partners are truly united. This is what we are working for. I am grateful to everyone who helps us and who is ready to make the next week historic in many ways," the President said in a video address.
