Lack of reaction of European countries to DPRK troops is a fatal oversight - Bundestag MP Kiesewetter

Президент Південної Кореї скликав екстрену нараду через війська КНДР в Росії

The fact that Europe has not yet responded to the actions of the DPRK is a "fatal oversight," Bundestag member Roderich Kiesewetter said.

According to Censor.NET, this was reported by DW.

Kiesewetter stated the need to create a united and decisive force, adding that "many European countries have wanted this for a long time."

Nico Lange, Senior Research Fellow at the Munich Security Conference, said Europe is waiting for the results of the US elections.

"At the moment, I don't see the major European powers coming together to develop a common strategy: what do we want to achieve in Ukraine? How will we deal with Russia and its supporters? How can we achieve this together? That's what we need," he said.

NATO spokesperson Farah Dahallah told DW in Brussels that if DPRK troops are indeed deployed to war in Ukraine, "it would mean a significant escalation of North Korea's support for Russia's illegal war and another sign of Russia's significant losses on the front line." She added that the Alliance is actively consulting on this issue.

As a reminder, self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin would never involve the army of another country in a war against Ukraine. The participation of DPRK troops on the side of the Russian Federation in the war is allegedly "nonsense" and a "step towards escalation."
