Emergency and rescue operations continue in Kharkiv at the site of a Russian air strike on a high-rise building.

According to Censor.NET, this was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

"One child was killed, 35 people were injured, including one child. Three people were rescued," the statement said.

The entrance of a 9-storey building from the 5th to the 1st floor was destroyed. People are likely to be trapped under the rubble.

According to the head of the Kharkiv RMA, Oleh Syniehubov, the boy who died was 11 years old. He was unblocked from the rubble with severe head injuries and fractures.

"The doctors performed resuscitation for more than half an hour. Unfortunately, they were unable to save the child," Syniehubov noted.

As of 6:40 a.m., Syniehubov said the death toll had increased

"One child has died. Rescuers unblocked body fragments from the rubble. An expert examination will be conducted to identify them. So the death toll has increased to two people," he said in a statement.
