Володимир Зеленський

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a telephone conversation with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the President's telegram channel.

"I am grateful to Canada for all the comprehensive assistance, in particular for its principled support of the Victory Plan. We count on Canada to continue active advocacy of its first point - receiving an invitation to NATO. I called on Justin to continue working with the allies both in future multilateral formats and in direct negotiations," Zelenskyy wrote.

He also thanked Canada for publicly supporting the authorization of the use of long-range weapons for military purposes in Russia.

"We have coordinated our steps ahead of the G20 meeting. It is very important that Ukraine's position on a just and lasting peace be voiced there. In addition, we discussed the continuation of defense cooperation and clarified the current defense needs of Ukraine," the President said.
