Enemy amassing forces in Chasiv Yar area, hiding in holes and basements and waiting for reinforcement - OTG "Luhansk"
The Russians have gathered a large group of troops and are trying to accumulate in the area of Chasiv Yar, sometimes waiting for reinforcements in basements and holes without leaving.
According to Censor.NET, Anastasiia Bobovnikova, a spokeswoman for the "Luhansk" operational and tactical group, told LIGA.net.
She stressed that the occupiers are now trying to cross the Siverskyi Donets-Donbas Canal, which serves as a fortification between the enemy and the Defence Forces.
They are crossing the canal, which no longer has water, in small infantry groups and are trying to accumulate behind it, actually near Chasiv Yar.
"Russians hide in holes or basements. They can sit there for days on end. They are waiting for someone else to come to them. They can wait for a very long time until they have enough forces to assault. We know from one interception that they were sitting there for about 10 days without food and water," Bobovnikova said.
The enemy is also actively conducting reconnaissance, the Ukrainian Armed Forces spokeswoman noted.
"They just send personnel forward: whoever runs, that is ok, whoever doesn't run, that's how it will be. This is not even reconnaissance by combat, it is reconnaissance by meat. In this format, they can run to God knows where," Bobovnikova said, stressing that this tactic led to the emergence of disinformation about the alleged advance of Russians towards the centre of Chasiv Yar.
To recap, in Chasiv Yar, the occupiers are trying to approach Ukrainian positions unnoticed. To do this, they use special raincoats or blankets that block the heat signal from Ukrainian drones and thermal imagers.
