Occupiers tried to break through to Novodariivka 6 times and made 5 unsuccessful attempts to seize Dnipro islands - Southern Defense Forces

Over the last day in the South of Ukraine, Russian troops conducted 11 assault attacks, 6 of them in the Zaporizhzhia sector, trying to break through to Novodarivka. In the Dnipro sector, the enemy made 5 unsuccessful attempts to seize the Dnipro islands.

This was reported by the Southern Defense Forces, Censor.NET reports.

As noted, over the past day, the enemy carried out seven air strikes using guided bombs and unguided missiles. Zaporizhzhia and Prydniprovsk directions suffered from the attacks. "The invaders significantly increased shelling of the positions of our units and frontline settlements where civilians live. Over the past day, 403 attacks from artillery systems, mortars and multiple rocket launchers were recorded," the Southern Defense Forces said.

It is also noted that the occupiers do not stop drone terrorizing the civilian population. Over the past day, the occupiers used 327 kamikaze attack drones of various modifications, including barrage munitions of the Lancet type. Also, 327 UAV drops using 416 munitions were recorded.

Attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces

In the south of Ukraine, the occupants do not abandon their intentions to storm Ukrainian positions and try to break through our defense on several frontlines. 11 times the enemy resorted to assault operations, 6 of which were in the Zaporizhzhia sector, trying to break through to Novodarivka.

In the Huliaipole and Orikhiv sectors, the occupation forces continue to prepare for assault operations, conducting air and engineering reconnaissance, replenishing ammunition and building up air defense and electronic warfare systems.

In the Prydniprovsk sector, the enemy continues to try to take control of the Dnipro islands. Over the past day, there were 5 such unsuccessful attempts.

Occupiers' losses

The defense forces of southern Ukraine continue to inflict fire on the enemy's locations, firing positions and rear.

Thus, over the past day, enemy losses amounted to 191 occupants.

In addition, the Russian army lost:

• 14 vehicles and armored vehicles, including 3 armored personnel carriers;
• "Buk" air defense system;
• 5 units of "Shahed-136" UAVs;
• 7 units of reconnaissance UAVs of the "Supercam" and "Zala" types;
• 6 artillery systems and mortars, including the Rapira anti-tank gun
• 5 motorcycles
• 3 buggies;
• REB and 2 starlinks.

Also damaged:

• 6 dugouts;
• 5 observed points;
• 2 firing positions.

To recap, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Ukrainian defenders have eliminated 740,400 Russian invaders.
