There is every opportunity to end war next year - Zelenskyy
This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview with Sky News, Censor.NET reports citing RBC-Ukraine.
"We will do everything to end this war. And we have every opportunity to end this war next year. We can do this, but only together with Europe, together with the United States and, of course, together with Ukraine," the president said.
Zelenskyy added that future U.S. President Donald Trump could put a lot of pressure on Russia by strengthening Ukraine. The President also pointed to diplomatic ways to end the war.
"It can happen quickly, but it all depends on the will. On the will of those who want it. It is clear that this is not easy and it will not happen tomorrow. But it can happen next year. I feel this way, but it all depends on the decisions and will of other leaders," Zelensky said.
To recap, in the same interview with Sky News, President Zelenskyy said that he was ready to consider ending the "hot phase of the war" if the territories of Ukraine under its control were taken "under the NATO umbrella."
