From now on, during the 30 days of basic military training, the cadets will practice 31 exercises in rifle shooting. Until recently, recruits practiced 20 such exercises.

This was reported on Facebook by the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Censor.NET reports.

They said that in the new 45-day course of basic firearms training for Army recruits, the firearms training program has been expanded.

"Previously, the cadets practiced 20 exercises in assault rifle shooting in 30 days, but now they have 31. According to the updated program, the recruits study actions during a clash with the enemy, clearing trenches and firing at short distances," the Army said.

It is noted that the exercises involve demo groups that imitate the actions of a simulated enemy. In addition, a collective weapons training course has been introduced. The recruits are learning how to use an assault rifle, an RPG, and RPK, DShK, and Browning M2 machine guns.

The total number of exercises with weapons has increased to 45.
