Enemy attacked our positions in area of Novy Komar and on outskirts of Sontsivka, some fortifications were destroyed - OSGT "Khortytsia"
Over the past day, December 17, 2024, the enemy conducted assault operations in the area of Novotroitske, Berestky, Pushkine, south of Vidrodzennia, south of Dachanske, on the southern outskirts of Zelenivka, south of Storozheve and on the southwestern outskirts of Makarivka. The enemy was not successful, suffered losses, and retreated.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press center of the OSGT "Khortytsia".
"In an effort to improve the tactical situation, they attacked our fortifications in the area of Novy Komar and on the southeastern outskirts of Sontsivka. As a result of the assault and fire damage, the fortifications in some positions were destroyed, making it impossible to hold them further," the statement said.
At the same time, as noted, enemy assault units attacked our fortifications in the urban development of Chasiv Yar, on the southeastern outskirts and in the urban development of the southern part of Kurakhove: they were unsuccessful, suffered losses, and retreated. As a result of the fire damage, the fortifications at our individual positions were critically damaged.
"The fighting continues, with no changes in the enemy's tactical position. Units of our troops are taking measures to hold their positions, counteract the encirclement and capture of defended settlements, and improve the tactical situation," the OSGT "Khortytsia" emphasizes.
Earlier, Censor.NET reported that the Russians occupied Sontsivka and advanced near 9 settlements.
