Ukraine is now reaching level of relations with NATO that provides for increased coordination of assistance - Sybiha

Sybiha commented on transfer of leadership in the Ramstein format to NATO from United States

On its way to NATO membership, Ukraine is reaching a level of relations with the North Atlantic Alliance that will naturally lead to increased coordination of military assistance to our country.

This was stated by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha at a joint press conference with his Australian counterpart Penny Wong in Kyiv, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.

Answering the question whether the mechanism of transferring leadership in the Ramstein format from the United States to NATO is really being considered, the head of Ukrainian diplomacy recalled that the Ramstein format was created in the first months after the start of the full-scale invasion to ensure the continuity of arms supplies to Ukraine.

"We are now reaching a level of relations with NATO on the way to membership in the Alliance that will naturally develop into increased coordination. Therefore, these are integral processes associated with Ukraine's further progress towards NATO membership and the realization of our Euro-Atlantic aspirations," Sybiha emphasized.

The minister added that Ramstein proved to be extremely effective, as it allowed for clear planning for Ukraine and coordination of allied actions to strengthen our defense capabilities.

Earlier it was reported that the North Atlantic Alliance had taken over the coordination of Western military assistance to Ukraine from the United States, as planned.
