EU leaders are planning to send a "clear message" to Donald Trump at a summit on Thursday about their continued support for Ukraine. They will also discuss the security and economic challenges associated with his return to the White House.

Thus, at the beginning of the talks, the leaders will meet with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and reaffirm their "unwavering commitment" to supporting Ukraine "for as long as it takes," the project says.
The publication recalls that Trump has repeatedly called for an early end to the war in Ukraine. And on 16 December, he said that Zelenskyy should be ready to reach a peace agreement with Putin, but did not say whether this meant that Ukraine should cede territories.
