Ukraine can count on EU support - Costa
President of the European Council Antonio Costa made a statement before a joint press conference with Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Brussels.

He emphasized that Ukraine has the full support of the European Union both in times of war and peace.
"At this meeting, we will discuss two important points: first of all, Ukraine, and then Europe in the world. With regard to Ukraine, we have to be very clear: you can count on our full and unwavering support as long as it takes and for as long as it takes - now, during the war, and in the future, in peacetime. We want to welcome you here one day as a member of the European Union," Costa said.
The President of the European Council added that the war in Ukraine is a struggle for international law, as the principles enshrined in the UN Charter are at stake: the right to self-determination, territorial integrity, and border security.
"Therefore, this war is not only about Ukraine, not only about Europe, but about international law. And international law must prevail, and the invader must be defeated," Koshta summarized.
