Russia is ready for negotiations and compromises, but Ukraine refuses - Putin

Putin is not against negotiations and is ready for compromises

Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin has said that Russia is supposedly ready for negotiations and compromises.

He said this during the so-called direct line, Censor.NET reports.

According to him, Russia is allegedly ready for negotiations and compromises, because "politics is the art of compromise", but Ukraine has allegedly refused.

The dictator also repeated the thesis that "all NATO countries are fighting against Russia".

Putin added that he "has someone to talk to in Ukraine", as there are "many of our guys who dream of freeing the country from neo-Nazism".

Earlier, The New York Times published a document discussed by Ukraine and Russia in the spring of 2022. The draft of the so-called peace treaty was not agreed upon.

On 14 June 2024, dictator Putin held a meeting of the Russian Foreign Ministry board, during which he stated that to start negotiations, Ukraine must completely withdraw its troops from the 4 occupied regions.

Putin also said that the West should immediately provide Russia with security guarantees.

The Russian Foreign Ministry recently stated that Russia is ready to study Trump's proposals on Ukraine, but this does not mean that they will be supported.

The Kremlin believes that negotiations on Ukraine based on the "Istanbul agreements" are possible.

Putin's arrest warrant

On 17 March 2023, the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and Russian Presidential Children's Ombudsman Maria Lvova-Belova.
