We cannot live in frozen conflict. We need security guarantees - Zelenskyy
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that Ukraine needs security guarantees and a strong position, not life in a frozen conflict.
According to Censor.NET, the head of state said this at a press conference.
"Regarding the issue of ceasefire. We must understand that we cannot live in a frozen conflict. When it comes to cease-fire in any conflict and war, people know what will happen afterwards. How it will end. You need to know what's coming tomorrow in order to do cease-fire today.
Otherwise, you just have a frozen conflict and that's it. That's why Ukraine needs security guarantees. A strong position of Ukraine and security guarantees, that's all. Of course Ukraine wants the war to end, of course, we want a sustainable peace. Of course, Russia does not want this, it constantly demonstrates this," he said.
