It’s too early to talk about sending peacekeepers to Ukraine - Belgian Prime Minister De Croo

At the moment, there is no need to talk about sending a peacekeeping contingent to Ukraine.
This opinion was expressed by Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Сroo, Censor.NET reports citing European Pravda.
In response to a question about the possible establishment of a ceasefire in Russia's war against Ukraine, the Belgian leader stressed that the priority should be to help Ukraine defeat Russia.
"First of all, Ukraine must win this war. Let's not change the sequence: the first thing is to win the war, to push back the Russians. Then, of course, nothing is out of the question. We have to be quite open, if at some point the war is won (by Ukraine - Ed.) and Ukraine is able to push Russia back, then everyone will have to play their part in maintaining peace and providing substantial security guarantees," de Croo said.
He believes that it is premature to talk about the deployment of EU peacekeeping forces in Ukraine.
"Please, the first discussion is how Ukraine should win the war. How the peace will be maintained after the war and what is needed for this is another issue. But talking about "boots on the ground" today is the wrong thing to do," the Prime Minister said.
