Scholz and Trump agree that Russia’s war against Ukraine has "lasted far too long"
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz spoke on the phone with US President-elect Donald Trump, and the war in Ukraine was among the topics discussed.

"The interlocutors agreed that Russia's war against Ukraine has been lasting on far too long and that it is important to get on the path to a fair, just and sustainable peace as soon as possible," the press service of the German Chancellor said.
It is emphasized that Scholz confirmed that he would continue to support Ukraine in its defense against Russian aggression as long as necessary.
Trump has not yet announced a conversation with the German leader.
