Lithuania to transfer power equipment from NPPs and TPPs to Ukraine

Lithuania has decided to transfer power equipment from decommissioned nuclear and thermal power plants to Ukraine as part of enhanced support for Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal at a briefing with his Lithuanian counterparts, Censor.NET reports.
He thanked Lithuania for its active assistance, emphasizing the importance of this initiative for the restoration of Ukraine's energy capacities after numerous damages from Russian attacks.
"We are grateful for Lithuania's transfer of equipment from the decommissioned Ingalin NPP and Vilnius TPP. We look forward to further cooperation in this area," said Shmyhal.
Shmyhal also noted that the transfer of equipment will be an important part of Ukraine's efforts to restore energy facilities damaged by the war. Lithuania has pledged to continue its support in this area, emphasizing that the country is ready to help not only in the immediate recovery, but also in the long term.
As a reminder, Lithuania has confirmed its readiness to invest in the production of the Palianytsia drone missile.
