Cabinet of Ministers proposes to establish administrative liability for violation of martial law requirements

The Cabinet of Ministers proposes to increase the responsibility of citizens for violating the curfew.
This was announced by the permanent representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk, Censor.NET reports.
The Cabinet of Ministers has submitted to the Rada draft law No. 12354, which proposes to increase liability for violating the requirements of a special legal regime - martial law.
The bill provides for
- Supplementing the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses with a new Article 210-2, which proposes to establish administrative liability for violation of the requirements of a special legal regime - martial law - imposed in Ukraine or in certain areas of Ukraine.
In particular, it is proposed to establish liability for violation of entry, staying in settlements from which a general mandatory evacuation is carried out in the absence of specially issued passes or certificates, as well as for violation of curfews (prohibition of staying in the streets and other public places during certain periods of time without specially issued passes and certificates);
- amendments to Article 262 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses, which proposes to authorize police authorities to carry out administrative detention of offenders.
