Ministry of Defence disrupted voting for members of Public Anti-Corruption Council - Hudymenko

Voting for composition of Public Anti-Corruption Council of Ministry of Defence

The voting for the composition of the Public Anti-Corruption Council under the Ministry of Defence was actually disrupted by the Ministry itself.

This was reported on Facebook by Yurii Hudymenko, a retired junior sergeant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and head of the NGO "Ukrainian Association "Mriya", Censor.NET reports.

"Mr Rustem Umerov, how can you and your subordinates explain what has happened?

1. The voting for the Public Anti-Corruption Council was actually disrupted - and disrupted only and exclusively by the Ministry of Defence;

2. Despite the fact that voting was supposed to start at 9:00 a.m., some voted and publicly reported as early as 8:00 a.m., which means that the elections started with "ballots in the box";

3. The elections, which you have already postponed for more than six months, will probably have to be cancelled and held anew, which means that you and your subordinates will continue to operate without a functioning Anti-Corruption Council," he said.

Hudymenko stressed that they would have to take responsibility for this.

"For some, it's political, and for others, it's more serious," he concluded.

As a reminder, elections to the Public Anti-Corruption Council under the Ministry of Defence are taking place on 26 December from 9:00 to 21:00.
